Description
This painting is largely inspired by the paintings of tennis courts by Jonas Wood. It very much has the same distillation of the David Hockney ‘Splash’ painting I did, where I emphasise – like in all my works – a simplified rendition of shapes and color interaction of dots, restrained by the dot pattern. The result is an optical art piece where from a distance our brain can recognise the image what from closely only looks like an abstract work consisting of linearly arranged dots.
